“True freedom is not just about escaping bondage; it is about discovering who you are, embracing your heritage, and using your talents to uplift others in a world that often forgets the power of truth and unity.”
— Shadrock Porter, founder
About GAPAS
Genesis Advance Performing Arts Society (GAPAS) is dedicated to inspiring communities through the power of storytelling, music, and performance. With over 30 years of experience in local and international productions, GAPAS has become a leader in cultural performance arts.
GAPAS is more than just a performing arts society.
We create opportunities for artists, storytellers, and performers to share their talents while educating and inspiring communities worldwide.
GAPAS was founded to bridge the gap between cultural history and modern performance arts. With a focus on representation and excellence, we continue to push boundaries in artistic expression.
Productions & Events
We bring stories to life—they are immersive experiences that celebrate culture, history, and the transformative power of the arts. Through dynamic storytelling, music, and theatre, we create moments that stir the soul and inspire reflection.
From original stage productions such as The Journey, Shadow of the Slaves and A Tribute to Our Freedom Fighters to gospel concerts, fundraisers, bingo nights, BBQs and community celebrations, GAPAS brings people together through culture, music and storytelling — for the Israelite Nation and the wider community.
